Outdoor Family Photography Session | Flowood, Mississippi

This was such a fun session! We used half of our session for the milk bath session (you can see it here) and the remainder of our time for family photos! When parents hire me to take photos of their family, I want them to know that I've put in a lot of thought and preparation. We talked about styling, location and ideas for this session for a while before session time rolled around and I really think it paid off! Their outfits were pretty timeless and flowed with our location very well.

Before each session.....

I have clients fill out a questionnaire about their family and what they're hoping to get out of family photos. This questionnaire helps me know a little bit about the family's personality and I make a running list of shots I definitely want to get each session.

During this session, we definitely wanted to capture some memories of mama and her babe, dad and his girl, some of baby girl by herself and a few shots of just mom and dad! We, of course, wanted the three of them together in most of the shots. Sometimes with little ones, we don't get every shot we want because kids need breaks and snacks but we took it slow and I think we accomplished a lot during this session. This family has so many sweet memories to cherish of their baby and family together!
